KarmaChic began long before it went online. In 2014, I opened my first brick-and-mortar boutique, an upscale women’s consignment store built on community and connection. By 2018, as e-commerce grew and shopping behaviors changed, I made the difficult decision to close the doors. That experience showed me how many small business owners, artists, and local entrepreneurs were facing the same challenge: they had great products and passion, but no accessible way to compete in the digital world.
That realization inspired me to start building KarmaChic Marketplace, a community-driven digital platform and directory created to help underrepresented and emerging entrepreneurs grow online. The goal is to make digital entrepreneurship more inclusive by giving creators access to affordable tools, resources, and education that help them succeed.
We are now developing the Creator Lab, an AI-powered hub that will allow vendors to automate marketing, access analytics, and create content more efficiently. My innovation is in reimagining e-commerce as a supportive ecosystem, not just a sales platform.
What started as a closed storefront is now evolving into a space designed to empower others to build, connect, and thrive in the digital economy.
